My Dog Wears Rainbows

I guess I'm officially one of those people who forces her style on her pet, but at least I'm not dressing her in sweaters and tutus (yet). Instead, I decided to buy a rainbow collar for my sweet Gypsy girl. I have been reading a lot about German Shepherds as a breed since she came into our lives a few months ago, and I discovered they have sensitive skin. So when I came across the handmade hemp dog collars in this fabulous shop, I knew I had to get one for her. To be fair, I did ask for Gypsy's input. She agreed with my decision to go with the rainbow design.

My Gypsy Girl

She's such a lady!

My Gypsy Girl

Her hips are still a little slender, but you might be able to see that she's putting on a little bit of weight in her chest. She's living a nice, comfortable life here with us and we're still very happy this sweet creature found us.

I hope your week is full of rainbows!

  2. I have an assortment of collars and leashes, no tutus yet also.I have a step into harness when around a lot of people so as not to choke my dog when she pulls to get closer for pets.

The flower in my last post is a Jeruselem Artichoke, Helianthus tuberosa. It is hard to tell some of the sunflowers apart. Earlier in the year are Compass plant and Rosin Weed which send a tall stalk up and have similar flowers, but the leaves differ greatly. They are all in the asteracae family and it is large.Hope that clears some question up, let me know if you need more info,I am sure I have pictures of all.

  8. What a beautiful dog!!

And a rainbow caller is light years better than those weird sweaters people insist on shoving their dogs into...

  9. She's such a sweetie. :-) I tried to force t-shirts on my dogs and they will have none of it. They get angry and just glare, so collars is the best I can do.
