Earlier this year, I put together a collection of photos representing my favorite color, purple. At the end of that post, I asked about your color preferences. Considering more people claim blue as their favorite than any other color, I wasn't all too surprised that many of you mentioned this calming hue. Blue can invoke a variety of concepts and feelings- the sky, cold weather, serenity, water, and even sadness. Here are a few photos I collected to represent this stunning shade. Perhaps this song will have you feelin' the blues as well. I do love a good blues tune, but let me just say that I like my blues the same way I like my men- strong, sincere, and slightly rugged.
Wonderful shots! I love blue, I love the gorgeous blue of the open skies, no matter if it's during the day (with or without fluffly clouds) or the deep blue of the early night skies, I love the blue of the ocean. I think I associate blue with open spaces, freedom and calm ;)
wow - the angel photo really grabbed me. blue is my favorite color, and i think i associated it with calmness and nature - blue skies, trickling rivers, summer lakes and ocean waves.

I think I lean towards water more than anything else. Water can represent a kind of peace but also power and freedom.
