Prepare for Winter

According to one of the squirrels who visits the little feeding station on my deck, it's time to start gathering delicious treats to get you through a cold winter!

Squirrel Action

This guy was going a little crazy with the sunflower seeds on a recent chilly day. I've noticed they tend to do this when winter is on the way. Prepare your mittens, Oklahoma! In other crafty and winter-related news, I'm so happy that I learned how to crochet with the help of my talented friend Sherri.

I'm currently working on a scarf.

Crochet

I've completed a few little scarflettes as well.

Scarflette

Do you crochet or knit? Both? Neither? I can officially say I know how to do both, and I think I prefer crochet.

Crafty Holly!!
I learnt how to knit and crochet when I was younger with my mum, cause she's amazing, but I haven't gone back to it since then... maybe one day!

Love, love, LOVE the scarflette! I use to be able to crochet, but I haven't done it in forever. I'd love to start up again though!

The colors of the scarf are gorgeous! I've been knitting for years, and have just started learning how to crochet the other day.

Yay! You're crocheting! I like the colors, too. I just started a little hat for Jakob but I don't have a pattern so we'll see how it turns out. :o)

I only know how to crochet, and I can only do a basic stitch... I think people who can work magic with yarn and needles are wonderful! :) Love the scarflette too, so cute on you Holly!

Hello Holly! I am happy to be back. :) That squirrel is just so cute. I love the scarf you're knitting. I am a knitter, too. I am not that skilled at crochet - can only do a chain! LOL Your scarflettes are so sweet!

So did you ask the squirrel if we were in for a hard winter? He'd probably know!
I love that its time to break out the knitwear! yay for warm woolies! I personally love to knit, I love the rhythm of it, once you find the groove it can be pretty meditative and it makes me feel a little productive if i sit down to watch a movie or something. Last night I knitted while watching "The Trouble with Angels" and then had to frog most of it--- darn it, Haley Mills! ;)

Just stumbled across your blog while searching pics of wildflowers. LOVE your blog and hope my newbie blog or future blogs are just as fun to stroll through oneday as yours! Keep up the creative charisma! :) I'm in live with crocheting, haven't quite taught myself knitting successfully yet Haha. But you strike me as the type that would swoon over filigree crochet like I did. It's very free style once you get the hang of it :) give it a Google search :) p.s. love your magical mushroom and heart shaped seed packs! I'll have to tell a friend, she wants to grow a fae garden with her daughter :)
