Vintage Finds

It's been a while since I've showcased any of the treasures I've come across during my thrifting excursions, so I'm here today with a few funky things I've fallen in love with lately.  First up are a set of Fred Roberts pedestal mugs in a rainbow wave pattern.  Many cups of warm tea have been sipped from these lovelies since I scored a set of three for $2 a few weeks ago.

Vintage Pedestal Mugs

I'm rather proud of this adorable score, especially considering my mild obsession with squirrels. This vintage squirrel planter is so beloved, in fact, that I have yet to even plant anything in it because I want to find the perfect little plant to do it justice.

Although I don't even use liquid creamer, this vintage Pyrex creamer dish (in a snowflake pattern) came to live in my kitchen recently.  Maybe I can use it to serve dressing at dinnertime or honey at teatime...

The final treasure I have to show is this photo, dated 1946, of a lovely young lady wearing a pink blouse, pearls, and a flower in her hair.

1946 Mystery Girl

I saw this photo at an estate sale and knew I had to have it. I collect old-timey photos of people I don't know. I can't save every unclaimed picture in the world, but I have a small stash of photos that, for whatever reason, drifted away from the person who kept them and into the hands of sentimental fools like myself. I'm especially drawn to images of children, fashions that are representative of the era, and people with kind faces. I was glad to add this little lady to my collection. Isn't she darling?
