Philbrook Gardens

Back in August, my little sister and I headed to Philbrook Museum of Art to catch the Egyptian Exhibit before it ends on September 12th. We saw some pretty amazing artifacts, and I felt very honored to be in the same room with so many ancient relics. While photography is not allowed in the museum, guests are welcome to take pictures in the famous Philbrook Gardens. The landscaping is gorgeous, professional, and very impressive to anyone with a love for plants. Here are some of the images I brought home with me on that lovely summer day. ♥

Where do you go to get your cultural fix?

Oh my goodness, Holly!

If the exhibition was half as gorgeous and spectacular as the gardens are, it must have been fantastic! I love everything Egyptian!

And really great shots there!

I love going to museums, but I have to say I don't get to as often as I'd like!

My cultural fix usually comes in the form of either trips to awesome places (if I'm really lucky) or books!

Oh that garden is amazing! I am so sick of Winter now, your photos make me dream of Summer and warmer days!
It has been way too long since I've been to the museum, I should probably work to fix that!

Beautiful photography! I have never been to the Philbrook, only driven past it. The Gilcrease has been visited many times by me. They once has the most beautful exhibit of Pendleton blankets.

I've never felt invited into it, as it is posting here. It is the quiet mood that speaks to me, as I have walked the muddy trails and inhaled the cold air and suddenly felt mountains looming bigger and closer through barren branches. The rolling fogs and mists are ephemeral, yet the winter memory is long-lasting...
