More kitten videos!

Hi guys! Today, I thought I might fill you in on how my dad's kitten, Little Ricky, is doing. If you don't know the back story on how this kitty wandered into my dad's life, you can find out more here and here. She's growing up so quickly, so I thought you all might like to see a little more of her while she's still a kitten.

That was actually my second attempt at filming this video. My first attempt took place last week, but Little Ricky wasn't cooperating. I mentioned that she loves people, but that's a huge understatement. She can't stay away from people- she constantly wants to be held. Which is why she started climbing my leg when I was trying to do a little intro in this next video. As you can tell by the look on my face, having kitten claws driven into your thigh is not very pleasant. It made for a pretty hilarious outtake though.

Oh man that cracks me up. She was climbing my leg from the very moment the video started, so that's why I'm making such awkward faces. When I uploaded this video, my boyfriend and I watched it over and over again, laughing hysterically. We're easily amused. But in my opinion, life would be so boring if we were unable to put away our egos and make fun of ourselves every once in a while.

Since the topic of today's blog is how fast my dad's kitten is growing up, I thought I'd show you something else that has been growing here at home. My miniature rose bush has been blooming like crazy, so I decided to follow the growth of a single bud by photographing it daily. Here's a little collage I put together with some of the photos I took.

What kind of growth have you been experiencing lately? Personal growth? Spiritual growth? A growth on your big toe? ;-)~

Kittens are so much fun!! When I was younger, we had a kitten that would climb up our legs, all the way to our shoulders. But you are right, the claws are not very comfortable!!

right now the only thing im trying to grow in is my appreciation of having a job and a place to live. whenever i'm stuck in this little town all week i wanna go crazy! i've been looking for other jobs in bigger cities aka TULSA (!!), but then i just feel like i'm cheating on my current job haha :)

For a sec, the 2nd video put me in shocked.. then I roared into laughter. It was so funny!! My expression must be the same when Nono did that to me. Lol! Coincidentally, I've posted an update on Nono today as well. :)

What kind of growth have I been experiencing lately? My hair is getting long again! I need to visit the salon soon.

no strange growths thank goodness! and you might have to get another kitty for this little guy to learn to keep his claws in - my first one thought i was a scratching post until i brought his sister home. i had to keep them separated when i was home at first, but then they got to be the best of friends, for 15 years :)

Hey honey, I especially love the rose stills, it is so pretty. And your kitty is just so gosh darn cute!! I have been growing in patience these last few days, with Abby-Sue teething, and although it is hard, it feels wonderful to grow in strength. Thanks for the thought provoking post!

That kitty is so cute, and I love the mini rose bush!

Hmm... personal growth. Well, now that we've gotten the outside of the house painted (at least the parts of it that we wanted to finish this year) I'm trying to get back into the swing of etsy things, and blossom up my biz again. It's hard feeling like I'm starting over since the economy has been so slow, but I'm also noticing that the more energy I put into it, the more I get from it, so I hope I can report back in a week or two with even better news!

I can stare at those videos the whole day. Not actually a cat person (I do try to know them, but it seems they don't really like me, maybe I smell like dogs?) but I love seeing them in action.

My toes are definitely growing these days, and so is my belly button. :D :D
